Planning: Proposal defence and after

I am getting ready to write and defend my dissertation proposal. Here is a list of things that I plan to do concurrently:

• Schedule date, time, and place to meet with my dissertation committee
• Read dissertation guide provided by Graduate Studies office
• Read sample dissertations and proposals
• Prepare paperwork regarding human subjects approval and dissertation committee
• Email coordinator of course(s) I am to teach to finalize details of classes and logistics of data collection
• Submit drafts to committee chair for critique
