Oh joy! Late Wedesday night, I sent my dissertation prospectus via email to faculty members I had hoped would be in my committee. Over the next 24 hours, I got replies from each one of them saying they would be in my committee. Yay!
Now it's back to more reading and writing up the proposal (first three chapers of the dissertation). Meanwhile, I have the distraction of preparing a doctoral portfolio (a departmental requirement). The other more pleasant distraction is my one and only class on computer-mediated discourse analysis. At least this class is relevant to my dissertation!
